Thanks for the ping back sweetheart. MM is one of my idols. So many people thought she was a dumb blonde. She was far smarter than she portrayed. I will always wish that I knew her. Sometimes I feel that I am so much like her it frightens me.
She is a legend. It takes more than fluff to achieve that status.
I’m with ya on that my dear. I most certainly am. I have a post called the Fear of Being Forgotten. It’s a photo of her that I adore. I looked at it and felt an immediate connection to it. She was so much more than beautiful. So much more.

Nice, thought provoking words. Life is just an experience and we must try to learn from everything that we encounter. 🙂
Yeah, and sometimes it feels more like an experiment than an experience. We don’t get a lot of time to get it right.
Wow, I was stunned when I got to the end and saw it was Marilyn Monroe. What a great quote.
She would be shocked, then pleased, by how she has affected people well beyond her lifetime.
You are so right!
I’m not absolutely certain of the facts, but I rather fancy it’s Shakespeare who says that it’s always just when a fellow is feeling particularly braced with things in general that fate sneaks up behind him with the bit of lead piping 🙂
Yikes!
